Join us for a slow day on the farm learning the simple pleasures of knitting by the fire.
This small and relaxed workshop is designed for anyone who would like to learn the fundamentals of knitting or spend time improving their skills in a calm and welcoming setting. I’m no expert, but knitting has been a quiet companion of mine for over fifteen years and I’d love to share what I’ve learned along the way.
We’ll gather around the fire and work through the basics together, using my simple beanie pattern as our guide. Your workshop includes the knitting pattern, wool and a pair of knitting needles so you can continue your project at home.
The day will also include morning tea, a warming lunch of homemade soup and fresh focaccia, and endless cups of tea and coffee as we sit together and knit.
We’ll also take a gentle wander around the farm, visiting the vegetable garden, chickens and paddocks, and sharing a little about life here at A Plot in Common.
This workshop will be limited to a small group so the day can remain relaxed and everyone has time to learn at their own pace.
