Kobi has always loved movies. Watching them, making them and talking about them. The different actors, directors, producers, story lines. Fascinates him. Fortunately he is able to study Motion Media at his school, so he comes home daily giving us updates about the latest film he and his buddies are currently making. Anyway, I'm not sure why it has taken me so long but a couple of days ago, after talking to Kobi about his movie, I remembered an old video camera that we had bought when the kids were babies that was stashed in the back of a cupboard. Kobi and the girls were so excited to see old videos of themselves as toddlers, family weddings, kindy Christmas carols, family holidays. One of the videos is of Eden at the beach, she is about 4 years old, and my sister is asking her where she thinks all the water from the ocean comes from. She stops and thinks and says, ' I think a man with a really big bucket fills it up'... Kobi at his kindy Christmas concert singing Jingle Bells with his little Reindeer ears on, jumping up and down as toddlers do... Maya at 6 months old crawling up and down the beach in her little nappy... These videos reminded me of so many of the little things I had forgotten. I want so much to remember the conversations, the songs that are sung, the jokes that are made, the loves, the meals, the holidays, the cuddles, the smells, the little expressions. I want to remember it all! It may not be completely possible but I am going to be more conscious of those little moments, take more photos and videos, write more regularly here and see if my boy will make a movie all about... us!
