In Common Beanie - Digital Knitting Pattern
This is a simple beanie pattern for those who love to make things slowly and with their hands. Designed to be practical, warm, and timeless, it’s a knit that suits everyday wear and returns easily to the needles, year after year.
Suitable for beginners as well as advanced knitters, this pattern is straightforward and rhythmic — perfect as a first project or a comforting one to return to.
All you need is 2 balls of 10 ply yarn, a pair of 4 mm knitting needles, and one tapestry needle. I love using a wool and acrylic blend — the wool gives warmth, while the acrylic helps the beanie hold its shape over time.
A folded brim for warmth, a classic crown, and a fit that feels at home outdoors — in gardens, paddocks, and long walks under changing skies.
This is the first beanie I ever made when I began knitting, and one I come back to again and again.
A small piece, made in common with the season.
Love Tash xx
